May 22, 2015 | Sabine Wiedemann | News CD Release Concert Piano Duo Takahashi | Lehmann

​On the occasion of the CD release of Transcriptions and beyond Piano Duo Takahashi | Lehmann (Norie Takahashi and Prof. Björn Lehmann, Berlin)) and senior staff of King International (Tokyo), the leading distributor for classical music in Japan, visited the label audite in Detmold.
During the CD release concert in the Hochschule für Musik Detmold on Tuesday, May 19th the musicians presented a main work of their new album: Igor Stravinsky's Sacre du Printemps in the version for piano duo written by the composer himself. This monumental work was contrasted by Franz Schubert's Rondo A major D 951.

​The video gives impressions of the recording session with Martin Neu (organ) and the ensemble officium (chorals) for Tientos y Glosas. The production presents Iberian Organ and Choral Music from the Siglo de oro, the Spanish Golden Age. Recorded at the organ of San Hipólito Church in Córdoba the works are played on an organ that comes as close as possible to the sound aesthetics of the period during which they were composed.

A​fter 16 years of collaboration which has been fulfilling both artistically and personally, viola player Roland Glassl has decided to shift his focus to other areas of his musical life from the start of the 2015/16 season. As a new partner the quartet has found Andreas Willwohl who possesses all necessary qualities to continue the collaboration in a positive manner and, at the same time, will enrich the quartet with fresh input.

​audite's historic archive releases enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide. A current review in the March issue of the German journal Kulturspiegel shows, that the latest historical release Portrait Johanna Martzy is no exception. The competent critic dignifies the unprecedented remastering of label boss Ludger Böckenhoff: "Mit der akustischen Ehrenrettung dieser großen ungarischen Geigerin ist Remastering-Experte Ludger Böckenhoff wieder mal eine kleine Großtat gelungen: So lupenrein [...] das schöne Dokument anmutiger Perfektion."

The latest audite production "Originals and beyond" with the Piano Duo Takahashi | Lehmann was honored in March issue of the trade journal STEREO as "Audiophiles Highlight". Additionally it was awarded as "Empfehlung des Monats" by FONO FORUM. We are very excited about this appreciation!

​The latest audite production "Ludwig van Beethoven - Complete Works for Piano Trio, Vol. 1" with the Swiss Piano Trio will be reviewed today, 9th February 2015, from 3.05 - 5.45 pm on WDR 3 TonArt.

Jan 22, 2015 | Sabine Wiedemann | News Elisso Bolkvadze: UNESCO Artist for Peace

​Georgian pianist Elisso Bolkvadze was named UNESCO Arist for Peace. The Award Ceremony is taking place today in Paris. In August, audite and Elisso Bolkvadze will present her first release on this label with Schubert Impromptus Op. 90 and Prokofiev Sonata No.2, Op.14. The next audite recording project will continue the series with Prokofiev sonatas, probably again in combination with sonatas from a second composer.

Elisso Bolkvadze is winner of numerous international competions. In additiona to her international concert career she runs her own music festival Batumi Music Fest and supports talented young Georgian pianists through her foundation Lyra.
