May 15, 2009 News awards for Vol. IV of the Shostakovitch String Quartets
The latest production with the Mandelring Quartett was awarded a “Star of the Month” by the German music magazine Fono Forum and labelled “Outstanding” by the British International Record Review.
The production is the last but one part of the complete edition of Shostakovitch's String Quartets interpreted by the Mandelring Quartet.
Vol. V will be presumably released in autumn 2009.
