On Tuesday, February 19th at 2:05 AM you hear in the night concert of Deutschlandfunk a program about Ferenc Fricsay. Under the title "Vehemence and spiritual depth" Norbert Hornig introduces the conductor celebrating his anniversary on February 20th together with audite recordings.
In the first quarter of 2013 audite won a German Critics' Award ("Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik"). This time the jury awarded the price to our 4 CD-box The RIAS Second Viennese School Project.
The Label audite was included in the critics' hotlist 2012 of the nmz and received an award for the best repertoire policy.
The ICMA Jury has voted audite Label of the Year 2013! In addition, the production Polychoral Splendour won in the category Baroque / vocal. We are very happy about these noted awards!
It was a perfect beginning of the New Year: The SACD Eduard Franck - String Quintets was chosen by the web magazine for music, audio and home theater Audiophile Audition as best disc of the year 2012. We are very proud of this special decoration!
The production Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy - Complete Chamber Music for Strings, Vol. 2 was chosen CD of the Month by Stereo. We are very happy about this award!
The audite production "Pas de deux" with the piano duo Mona & Rica Bard was chosen CD of the week from December 31st to January 6th by the German radio station RBB Kulturradio.
In summer, audite celebrates its 40th anniversary with around 90 invited guests from the press, radio and music industry at Bertelsmann's representative office in Berlin.
In September, a 13-CD box set including bonus material is released with the early Berlin recordings of Sergiu Celibidache, who shaped the musical life of the war-torn metropolis like no other.
Excellent for comparison with the Beethoven Quartets of the Quartetto di Cremona, released only a short time earlier, is a 7 CD box set of historical recordings by the Amadeus Quartet, which recorded almost all of these quartets on the RIAS in the years 1950-1967.
