Join us celebrating audite's 50th label anniversary!
After our world premiere recording Paul Dessau: Lanzelot was already nominated in two categories and won the Quarterly Prize of the German Record Critics' Award (PdSK), it now also finds itself on the longlist for the Annual Prize.
audite is upgrading its studio to Dolby Atmos, the surround sound format introduced in 2012. This format theoretically allows for an unlimited number of audio tracks. Unlike purely channel-based surround formats, Dolby Atmos can incorporate vector-based metadata for moving objects, and their coordinates are then calculated by the receiver relative to the specific speaker setup. The first generation of hardware, the Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor, supports up to 128 individual audio tracks and up to 64 separate output signals. This upgrade will enable audite to provide an immersive and dynamic audio experience to its audience.
156 jurors from 32 specialist juries have chosen a total of 258 titles (CDs, DVDs and audiobooks) from the new releases of the last quarter and nominated them for the Quarterly Critics' Choice ("Bestenliste") 3/2023 of the German Record Critics' Award (PdSK), which will be published on 15 August.
Among them are two current audite releases: In the category "Concertos" the production "Pietro Antonio Locatelli: Introduttioni teatrali" with the Thüringer Bach Collegium was selected and in the category "Early Music" the latest release by Alex Potter and la festa musicale "ANTONIO: Lotti - Caldara - Vivaldi" was nominated.
We are very pleased about this appreciation!
Our January release Paul Dessau: Lanzelot, which was nominated for two categories at once, prevailed in the pre-selection of 246 new CD releases and received the PdSK Quarterly Prize in the category "Opera".
On 21 April, this year's ICMAs were awarded in the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw (Poland) and numerous prize winners were presented in a top-class and extensive gala concert with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic under the direction of Giancarlo Guerrero.
156 jurors from 32 specialist juries have chosen a total of 246 titles (CDs, DVDs and audiobooks) from the new releases of the last quarter and nominated them for the Quarterly Critics' Choice ("Bestenliste") 2/2023 of the German Record Critics' Award (PdSK), which will be published on 15 May.
Also in 2023 audite is honoured with an International Classical Music Award (ICMA): Of the 6 (!) audite productions nominated, the latest release of the LUCERNE FESTIVAL series Rafael Kubelík conducts Haydn, Schoenberg & Tchaikovsky finally prevailed in the category "Historical Recordings".
A nice surprise to mark the 10th anniversary of this successful collaboration!
audite celebrates its 50th label anniversary and 10 years of cooperation with Lucerne Festival with a comprehensive Karajan box set featuring live recordings and photographic material from the SRF archive documenting Karajan's career relaunch at Lucerne Festival in the 1950s.
Of our six nominated productions, both historical releases from the LUCERNE FESTIVAL series have made it to the finals of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) 2023. Now we are keeping our fingers crossed for the recordings Rafael Kubelík conducts Haydn, Schoenberg & Tchaikovsky and Géza Anda and Clara Haskil play Bach: Concerto for 2 Pianos, BWV 1061 and Bartók: Piano Concertos Nos. 2 & 3 for the announcement of the winners on 18 January 2023!!!!
